Build Your Workforce with Ohio TechCred
Ohio TechCred helps eligible Ohio employers invest in short-term training that develops hands-on, applied technical skills. Employers awarded funding may be reimbursed up to $1,000 per employee, per credential, with a maximum award of $30,000 per application period.
Custom Training Solutions can help your company identify eligible CTS training, obtain course and cost information, coordinate employee enrollment, and prepare the documentation needed after training is completed.
TechCred funding is awarded by the State of Ohio and is subject to employer eligibility, credential approval, available funding, and compliance with the employer’s TechCred agreement.
How the TechCred Process Works
- Identify the technical skills your employees need.
- Contact CTS to select training that aligns with an eligible TechCred credential.
- Confirm the exact credential name, training cost, schedule, and current eligibility.
- Submit an employer application through the Ohio TechCred portal.
- If awarded, complete the approved training within the dates established by the TechCred
- agreement.
- Pay the training provider and retain the required documentation.
- Submit required status reports and reimbursement documentation through the TechCred portal.
